I don’t know anything about gardening and sowing grass seeds etc. It is my first time to do this. I start from scratch i.e. scarified the existing lawn, remove all the overgrown weeds, backfilled the area to have a good level. I bought this product after reading good reviews and I was not disappointed, I am happy with the grass appearance and the growth rate.I would highly recommend this product. Im a novice but I got good results what more if I have experience. Also the seller, Grant is very kind and very helpful.He guided me to the whole process from ground preparation to sowing, watering etc . He always reply to my queries and gave me lot of advice. I will update this review after the application of fertilisers. Lawn is 6 weeks old now so I can apply fertiliser. Also Grant , the seller offered to send me 1/2 kilo of seeds in case I need to do over-seeding for the patchy areas, what a nice man.Grant if you see this, I would like to thank you for all your help and support-😊

This is a very good product and grows very well, my only complaint is the coverage. In the headline it says 55m for New Lawns, then later in the description says 35m for new lawns but in the instructions with the product it says 35g for a square metre so 1kg is not going to do 55m or 35m.

I ordered this hard wearing grass seed for a small patch I wanted to cover with lawn and to overseed the rest of the grass in my garden. I sowed it around early May, and to keep the birds and dog off, I covered it with fleece for a week until it had germinated. I'm pleased with the result. I've been able to mow it twice already by the end of June and edge it. Still trying to keep off the grass for now though. The results from overseeding weren't as good. I have a long grass pathway which is trampled on many times daily. I covered half the length with seed and put fleece over, and made everyone walk on one side, intending to switch sides when the new grass had grown sufficiently. It's come up, but the patches still look bare with only one or two new blades. I did prepare the new area until it was a fine tilth. The existing lawn was scarified, aerated, cut and the new seeds covered with a fine layer of top soil, so I don't know where I went wrong, though I suspect, the soil wasn't prepared, lots of stones and chafers under there, and the seed the previous owner used wasn't good quality. One thing, it comes in a bag which opens along the 'long side', the wrong edge in my opinion, so once you've opened the bag, it's not easy to store it. I had to tip the seed I was keeping aside into a tin, and cut the instructions from the plastic wrapper and put them in. For starting a new lawn from scratch, this is excellent seed, as long as you prepare the ground well first.

I bought this grass seed after seeing multiple people with great results. I am a novice gardener. I turned the soil over, raked, scattered seed and lightly raked in. The seed has been down for around 2 weeks now and there doesn't seem to be much growth. There are small shoots coming through but not as many as I expected after seeing other garden transformations. I planted the seed early April and we haven't had tonnes of sun, so it could be that the weather has slowed germination. The description of the product does state expect a healthier greener garden in 2 - 4 weeks therefore I am going to leave the seed down and see what happens, although I can't see this growing well. A number of reviews state the seed 'grows like mad' although I can't seem to see this on my lawn. I have given the product 3 stars given that there is evidence of growth and other people have had great success., However I will be updating my review and amending ratings accordingly. Hope this helps everyone trying to transform their lawn this year UPDATE 21/04/2019 I contacted the seller as the seed wasn't germinating. They sent me a replacement bag and advised me to try again when the weather picks up. Due to the sun we've had over the bank holiday, I gave up on the first attempt to sow. Maybe I didn't put the seed down heavily enough? Maybe I watered too heavily? Maybe there was frost? The second time I spread multipurpose compost and heavily spreaded the seed. I then sprinkled a little more compost on top. I can physically see the grass growing and I am watering twice a day for 5 - 10 minutes depending on the weather. UPDATE 01/05/2019 The front lawn is growing extremely well however the back lawn is not growing much at all. Overall, I would recommend this product if your lawn gets enough sun and you can keep people/animals away for a couple of weeks

I honestly couldn't rate these seeds any higher. I've purchased this 3 times and I've always had great results. It definitely helped getting some seed compost, it helped covering all the seeds and helped with the germination. In the beginning I was checking them every day but after a week forgot about it and this was today. They have been in the ground of about 3 weeks to a month. We have dogs and children that walk on the grass all the time and even the dog urine seems to not have killed any. We watered twice daily and I think using the sprinkle was better than doing with the hose. You have to be patient and dont do what I did and check it every day in the beginning or you will start losing hope. But then all of a sudden you have nice lush and green grass. I should also mentioned that after a few years of total neglect my lawn was more bare patches than grass and this has amazingly filled all the dead areas. I tried before and literally threw the seeds on the dead patches and I think that didnt warm so well so this time I kind of loosen the soil before and then covered the seeds with the seed compost and kept watering.
